Explanatory Note

They follow no prescribed religion, nor do they believe in you. No meeting point exists between you and them anywhere.

2. Linguistic Analysis

[ edit ]

عَـٰبِدُونَ 'Abidoon again is a noun, so it signifies that never have you been in the past, nor are you now nor will you ever be in any way worshipping the same God as I do or be enslaved to Him. That has never happened and it will never happen - it's a guarantee they will remain in kufr. [Ref: Nouman Ali Khan, Dream Tafsir Notes]
